Driving License Latest Rules 2024: The Union Ministry of Road Transport has issued the guidelines for Driving License rules. The new rules will be effective from the 01st of June 2024. Driving License Latest Rules 2024
The Ministry of Road Transport has given the full report on the new Driving License rules and the Driving License rules will be implemented from 01 June 2024. As per new rules, if a person is caught driving without a Driving License, he will be fined Rs 2000. The minor who drives will get a fine of Rs 25000 and a scenario of punishment also in new Driving License rules 2024. The Police will have the right to take legal action against the parents of the minor and they also cancel the registration certificate of the vehicle.
The earlier process of taking the driving test is changed now, a person who is applying for a Driving License will be asked to pass the written test and they will provided with driving training.

Driving License Rules 2024: Documents Requirements
The applicants who want to apply for DL in 2024 must have the following docs.
- License Option Form No. 4
- Learner‘s License
- Traffic Fitness Certificate
- 3 copies of voter ID
- Passport
- Proof of the residential address like Ration Card, Andhra Card
- Date of birth certificate or 10th DMC as age-proof
- Passport Payslip issued by the State or Central Government
Eligibility criteria for a driving license 2024 New Rules
- A person with an age of more than 18 years can apply for a driving license.
- In the case of a commercial driving license, the age of the person should be more than 20 years.
Driving License Type Fee
- The fee for a duplicate license is Rs 5000.
- The fee for the driving license renewal process is Rs 200.
- The fee for issuance and renewal of your driving license is Rs 10000.
- The fee for renewal of a permanent license is Rs 200
- The fee for the international license is Rs 1000.
- The fee for a learner license is Rs 200.
How to Apply for an Online Driving License in 2024
- Visit the Union Ministry of Road Transport website https://morth.nic.in/.
- Find Form No. 4 and fill out the information in the Form No. 4.
- Select the State Name and write other details in the Form No. 4.
- Pay the fees for your driving license and upload the documents in Form Number 04.
- Submit the driving license form.
- Check the schedule for the driving license from the RTO office.
