Age Limit & Relaxation
Applicants must be born between July 2, 2005, and January 1, 2008, to be eligible for the 10+2 (B. Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme.
Educational Qualification
To apply for the B. Tech Cadet Entry Scheme, candidates must have the following educational requirements:
- Candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or an equivalent exam from any recognized Board to be eligible for the 10+2 (B. Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme for the Executive & Technical branches.
- A minimum of 70% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) with at least 50% in English should have been their overall score (either in Class X or XII).

- The first screening process involves selecting a shortlist of candidates for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview based on their eligibility and educational background.
- Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview: Those who make the shortlist are invited to a thorough interview.
- Those who make it through the SSB interview process are subjected to a comprehensive medical check to make sure they are in good enough health to serve in the Indian Navy.
- List of Merit: The SSB scores are used to create a list of merit. If there are any openings in the entry and the candidates are deemed medically fit, they will be appointed after police and character clearance.
