PM Scholarship Scheme 2024: The Prime Minister has shown concern towards the dependent wards and widows of CAPF/AR/State Police Employees. The govt has launched the PM Scholarship Scheme to motivate students to go for technical study and professional degree courses. The students can go for their higher studies with the financial help of the PM Scholarship Scheme.

Students of the martyr soldiers can go for courses like BE/BTech, MBBS/BAMS/other medical courses, dental, veterinary, MBA, MCA, and other courses.

PM Scholarship Scheme Eligibility Criteria

A person must meet the eligibility for the PM Scholarship Scheme, the details are listed below.

1. The student can be a son or daughter of the martyred Military/Navy/Army, Indian Coast Guard, Assam Rifles, CRPF/RPF/SRPF, and Police Force Personnel.
2. The widow of the martyred Military/Navy/Army, Indian Coast Guard, Assam Rifles, CRPF/RPF/SRPF, and Police Force Personnel.
3. The percentage of marks of the student should be more than 60%.
4. The PM Scholarship Scheme will be provided to the student who goes for the professional degree courses.
5. A person must have passed the 12th class or Diploma or graduation degree.
6. The yearly income of the family must be less than Rs 6 lac.
7. The upper age limit is not specified to apply for the PM Scholarship Scheme.
8. The PM Scholarship Scheme does not support a master’s degree program.

Documents Required for the PM Scholarship Scheme

1. The student has to show proof of a Martyr certificate from the Navy/Army/others. 
2. Date of Birth proof.
3. DMC of qualification like 10th/Diploma/Graduation Degree.
4. Bank Passbook Photo.
5. Income Certificate of the family.
6. Widow certificate.
7. Category certificate.
8. Domicile certificate.
9. Photo of the student.

Benefits of PM Scholarship Scheme 2024-25

Students from the Martyr family or widows of Martyr will receive the following benefits

1. Each year, govt chooses 5500 students and widows for the PM Scholarship Scheme.
2. The student will get payment each year for three years/four years/five years as per the duration of the course. 
3. The boys will be provided with the amount of RS 2500 each month.
4. The girls will be provided with the amount of RS 3000 each month.
5. The children of the state police will be provided with an extra amount of RS 500 each month along with a scholarship.
